Candidate: for Chudleigh & Teign Valley - Richard Keeling

14 Feb 2021

Cllr Richard Keeling

Richard is a recently retired shop keeper and has lived in Chudleigh and Teign Valley for over 17 years. As a past Chairman of the Business Guild he knows how tough it is to trade. Richard became a Town Councillor in the millennium and was the youngest Councillor for over 13 years before becoming a Teignbridge Councillor. As a Teignbridge Councillor he has achieved many goals and he has not been afraid of speaking up and has refused bad Planning that will harm our community with the lack of infrastructure.

Richard has also supported genuine affordable housing to rent or buy for locals. Including the Teignbridge 100, Council Houses being built now.

Richard is at present an Executive Member on Teignbridge District Council, but his proudest achievements include keeping services open, library, toilets and preventing part of the Chudleigh car park being sold off to a private company.

Richard has also championed green open spaces and is against the selling off of green parks to developers.

Richard has the experience in local government and wishes to give his time and experience to becoming a County Councillor solving our lack of attention to our drains and roads, getting those pot holes permanently fixed.

A vote for Richard Keeling is a vote for the strongest voice for you on Devon County Council.
