MP Fights To Retain Youth Inclusion Project

4 Mar 2010

In Parliament today, Teign MP Richard Younger-Ross asked the Leader of the House Harriet Harman for a debate on Youth Inclusion Projects. He highlighted the case in Teignmouth where the project has contributed to a drop in anti social behaviour of 40% but now the County Council has withdrawn funding.

Teignmouth Youth Inclusion Project

Said Mr Younger-Ross, "This is clearly a very successful project which is of great benefit to local communities. I am looking to find other funding to allow the project to go ahead and have already been promised some money from a local body. I am also in contact with the Council, asking them to consider a reduced allocation to enable the project to continue."
